Ruby on Rails Now Available

[ Please Note — In 2019 Ruby Support was dropped from our hosting account feature list.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. ]

Effective immediately all shared linux hosting accounts here at Pure Energy now support Ruby on Rails! All clients can now create a rails application from within cPanel (cPanel -> Software -> Ruby on Rails) and begin developing and deploying their applications using the rails platform.

Currently available (System Wide) Ruby Gems Include:

actionmailer (2.2.2)
actionpack (2.2.2)
activerecord (2.2.2)
activeresource (2.2.2)
activesupport (2.2.2)
cgi_multipart_eof_fix (2.5.0)
daemons (1.0.10)
fastthread (1.0.1)
gem_plugin (0.2.3)
mongrel (1.1.5)
mysql (2.7)
rails (2.2.2)
rake (0.8.3)
rubygems-update (1.3.1)
tidy (1.1.2)
xml-simple (1.0.11)

We installed what we thought to be the most commonly needed gems system wide, and if a client needs a gem not currently installed system wide, it can be installed into their accounts just as PHPi and Perl Modules can be by visiting cPanel -> Software -> RubyGems.
